  • Questions about EUSS application

    Hello everyone,
I am an EU national and I've already applied to the settlement scheme about a month ago.
    1) I provided bank statements, but they were in Polish - should I add an English translation and upload it as new evidence?
    2) For the UK address question in the residence category I used a flat which I rented via booking.com for my trip to the UK in August. Was that ok? I also provided this flat's booking confirmation as proof of residence. I worry that my application may get refused when they see on the booking confirmation that I only rented the flat for 7 days in August.
Sorry if I'm overthinking things but I cannot help but worry about that address question.
    Thank you in advance.

    Afternoon,

You don't need to upload anything else unless they ask you to do so, should they require further evidence, they will tell you so, applications under the EUSS are never refused without first giving the applicant every opportunity to provide the required evidence.

It may well be a translation is not required if they can see that the transactions took place in the UK going by the names of the establishments where the payments were made.

If you look here: Residence criteria

    For pre-settled status

Have started living in the UK by 31 December 2020.
You only need one item of evidence of residence in the last six months

I'm afraid you are overthinking this, and there is no requirement to have a permanent address, we have members who got pre-settled status on the basis of providing their boarding passes showing they arrived in the UK before the end of last year, which is the only requirement at this stage.

As above, if they need anything further, they will come back asking for it.

Applications are likely to be taking a bit longer at this point, since many people rushed to apply before the end of last year.
