I had applied for settled status 4 months ago. I received COA since after that no reply. Now my BRC is getting expired on 14th may 2021. I need EUSS to renue my BRC. Please pass my request to concerned department. Need help.

Just to clarify, we are an independent forum and not part of the Home Office, therefore we are not able to pass on requests to the EUSS team. I am in regular contact with them and, sometimes, have sent enquiries to them on behalf of members, however, they do allow up to 6 months to process applications, so I cannot forward enquiries regarding applications taking too long until it's been over 6 months. However, you, as the applicant, can contact the resolution centre at any time to ask about your application.

Even if your BRC had a longer expiry date, they will no longer be valid after the end of June anyway, due to the end of the grace period. As you applied with a valid BRC, I'm assuming you didn't do biometrics and just used the app, in which case you'll need to make a new application for an EUSS BRC once you get your decision email. Meanwhile, you can continue to use your BRC to prove your rights till it expires, hopefully you will get your decision before then. You can also use your CoA to prove your rights to an employer, landlord, etc. while your EUSS application is in progress, and they are valid for 6 months, in line with the usual maximum time allowed to process applications.

I'd suggest approaching the resolution centre to start with, then, if you still don't get a decision within 6 months of your application, I should be able to forward an enquiry. As you had a BRC, the relationship would have already been confirmed, so your application shouldn't take too long, unless you had any convictions to declare.

I am a Indian passport holder husband portuguese both have settled status. BRC Was expired in may 14 but was unable to renew because of delay in settled status. Submited application to extend brc on 01/06/2021. Biometric done on 29th june. How long it will take for the dicesion to come. Please reply.

We cannot say for sure how long it will take for the Home Office to process your application. It has now been only 2 weeks since you have submitted the biometrics, so it might take a few more weeks.

Just a quick note here for the benefit of others reading this open forum, as it now appears I gave the wrong info on the post above. To clarify, the government had said BRCs issued under EU rules such as EEA residence cards and PR cards would all stop being valid at the end of June, so the info above was correct at the time of writing. However, the government did a U-turn on that in May, when they decided BRCs will continue to be valid till their printed expiry date, so the above is no longer correct and they can continue to be used to prove rights and to travel with, provided you also have settled or pre-settled status linked to the BRC.

I received an email today saying that I will receive my BRC in next 7 to 10 working days. But the thing is that now I moved to the different address in the month of august, I and changed my home address on ukvi change in circumstances through gov.uk website on 26th august, I got the email on 28th august today so my question is that will i get my BRC courier at previous address or new address.

Have you set up a redirect service with the Royal Mail? If you have, all the mail addressed to your old address will automatically be redirected to your new address.

From experience, the pink cards are sent by Royal Mail signed for, so someone needs to be home to sign for the envelope containing the card.
