Returning Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) after the ceremony
Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) must be returned to the Home Office right after the citizenship ceremony.
You could be fined up to £1,000 if you do not return your permit within 5 working days.
This does not apply to Biometric Residence Cards (BRCs) issued to family members of EEA nationals under EU rules, such as Permanent Residence (PR) cards, even if they are also biometric.

German nationals after naturalisation
German nationals need to inform the Germany Embassy or Consulate about their British naturalisation. This can be done by email, without the need to make an appointment. You can provide a scan or photo of your Certificate of Naturalisation so they can file it in their system, you may want to check with them if they will need the original when renewing your German passport.
